Guest lecture on Current Nutritional Disorders In India And Putative Dietetic Solutions-
The Departments of Microbiology, Botany and Biotechnology have organized DBT sponsored Guest Lecture on “Current Nutritional Disorders In India And Putative Dietetic Solutions” for the Degree Biology students on 17th Nov 2016 in our college.
The programme was initiated by the introduction of the theme of the programme by Dr. B. Siva kumari, DBT Coordinator which was followed by invited talk by Dr. J. Sreenivas, Scientist-D, Asst. Director, Food Chemistry Division, National Institute of Nutrition (ICMR) on the above said topic.
Sir has given a vivid explanation on the scenario of malnutrition in India. He has insisted upon the Nutritional disorders through a slide show and spoke on the areas which covered new forms of health issues, intake of food to recommended level, food preparation, processing, research prospects on biofortification, etc. He concluded his talk saying that nutrition affects the growth and development of a person.
