Welcome to the global family of Loyola! Thank you for visiting our website to learn more about our Andhra Loyola College (ALC). The true purpose of Education is to better ourselves and better our world. At ALC, we place high value on spirituality, an encompassing attribute which strengthens people from within, and makes them stronger every day. Our strength lies in our compassion, an offspring of spirituality. One should grow from sympathy to empathy. We believe that success, which the world constantly harps on about, is a journey but not an incident or one-time happening. Thus, we view it in conformity with magis, an Ignatian concept. Along with such an individual success, we should strive for institutional success. The aims and objectives of ALC should get ingrained in everyone associated with it, and the individual thoughts and actions should reflect them. Once we take responsibility for the institution with which we are associated, our weltanshuung (world-view) gets broadened. Consequently, it leads to social consciousness and helps us to become people for others. We start giving back to the community fulfilling our social obligation. As the old proverb goes, “It takes a village a raise a child”. We also learn to have gratitude for God, parents, teachers, friends and fellow human beings. The journey of growth and transformation does not end with that. Our social responsibility instils into us an appreciable amount of awe and respect for nature. It teaches us to wisely and carefully utilise the scarce natural resources. Cleanliness – in and out - becomes the hallmark of every associate of ALC. Success, as we go on achieving it, may makes us complacent at any point of time. So, we should be on guard. Many a threat crouches on the part of life to fail our journey. Let us discern between the good and the bad of modern technology, and put it to proper use. We, the academic architects of ALC, endeavour to imbibe in the youth, rich qualities like humaneness, humility, honesty, and humour. We strive to make the youth acquire creative and critical thinking. You are most welcome to visit ALC in person, and share our joy as we revel in our Herculean task of building a new transoceanic generation.
